Who is StartupMap.in for?: Founders, operators, job-seekers, journalists and investors who want a clear, current picture of a startup ecosystem — city by city.
How is the data sourced?: From public records, company websites and direct submissions. Every profile is checked before it goes live. We do not store personal contact details.
What does Boost pay for?: Ongoing prominence on the map and grid — a highlighted marker and priority placement — plus a "Hiring" badge and short pitch line.
What is the refund policy?: See our Refund Policy. In short: Boost is billed monthly and can be cancelled anytime to stop future renewals. Because Boost is a digital service that delivers visibility the moment it goes live, a full refund is available only before activation, or in duplicate-charge / unauthorised-payment / we-failed-to-deliver cases. It is not refundable once active, and never for dissatisfaction with traffic or results.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to paid plans (“Boost”) purchased on StartupMap.in. Payments are collected and processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. A free listing involves no payment and is not covered by this policy.

Subscription billing

Boost is a monthly subscription. You are charged when you purchase and then once per month on the same date until you cancel.
All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Boost is activated — your listing highlighted and moved up the grid — as soon as payment is confirmed, unless you ask us to schedule a later start date. Activation is the point at which the service is delivered.

Cancellation

You may cancel Boost at any time by emailing work.varshithgubba@gmail.com or using the cancellation link in your billing receipt.
Cancelling stops all future renewals. Your Boost benefits stay active until the end of the current paid month.
Cancelling by itself does not refund the current month or any past month. Refunds are only as set out below.

Refunds

Boost is a digital service delivered on activation. Once your listing has been highlighted, the added visibility has already been provided and cannot be returned. Refunds are therefore available only in the situations below.

Before activation: if you have paid but Boost has not yet been activated on your listing — for example you asked for a scheduled start date and change your mind before it — you receive a full refund.
We failed to deliver: if we do not activate Boost within 5 working days of payment (or of your scheduled start date) due to our error, you receive a full refund for that month.
Duplicate or accidental charge: if you are charged twice, or charged for a purchase you did not complete, you receive a full refund. Tell us within 7 days of the charge.
Unauthorised payment: if a payment was made without the cardholder's authorisation, you receive a full refund once this is verified.
Billed after cancellation: if a renewal is charged after a confirmed cancellation request, that renewal is refunded in full.
Extended outage: if StartupMap.in is unavailable for 72 continuous hours or more during your paid month, you may request a pro-rata refund for the affected days.

What is not refundable

Change of mind, or no longer wanting the listing, after Boost is active.
Dissatisfaction with the number of visits, clicks, enquiries or business results. Boost sells increased visibility on the map and grid — not any traffic figure, lead count or outcome.
Your listing being removed or suspended for breaching the Terms & Conditions.
Not cancelling before a renewal date. Cancel to stop the next renewal; the month already paid for stands.

Anti-abuse

Repeatedly buying Boost and then requesting refunds, or buying Boost for short bursts of visibility and reversing the payment afterwards, is not permitted. We may decline such requests and bar the account from future paid plans.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank — most issues are resolved within 2 working days. Raising a chargeback without contacting us first, where the service was delivered as described, may result in the account being suspended and the disputed amount being pursued.

How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through Dodo Payments. Refunds are normally initiated within 3 working days of approval; the time for the amount to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–10 working days).

Privacy Policy

StartupMap.in (“we”, “us”) operates an online directory and map of startups and ecosystem organisations. This policy explains what information we handle and why.

Directory data

Company profiles on the map are built from publicly available information (company websites, public registries, press coverage) and from details submitted to us by a company representative. Profiles describe organisations, not individuals. We do not publish personal email addresses or phone numbers. If you are named in a profile as a founder and want that changed or removed, email us and we will action it.

Information you give us

Listing submissions: company name, website, sector, location and similar business details you send us for inclusion.
Correspondence: your email address and message content when you contact us for support, corrections or billing.
Payments: if you buy Boost, payment is handled by Dodo Payments. We receive a transaction reference and your plan status. We do not receive or store your full card details.

Information collected automatically

We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand traffic volume. The site stores a small preference value in your browser (for example, light/dark theme). We do not use advertising trackers or sell any data.

How we use information

To build and maintain the directory and map.
To process Boost subscriptions and issue receipts and refunds.
To respond to your enquiries and corrections.
To detect abuse and keep the service secure.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run the site — currently our hosting provider and Dodo Payments for payment processing — and where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Support and billing correspondence is kept for as long as needed for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. Directory profiles remain published until the company or we remove them.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you or your company by emailing work.varshithgubba@gmail.com.

By accessing StartupMap.in or purchasing a paid plan, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

StartupMap.in provides an online directory and interactive map of startups, investors and ecosystem organisations, plus an optional paid “Boost” that increases a listing's prominence. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Listings and content

Free listings are reviewed before publication and may be edited for accuracy, formatting or length, or declined.
By submitting a listing you confirm you are authorised to represent the company and that the information provided is accurate.
We may remove or correct any listing that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, or the subject of a valid complaint.
Directory information is provided for general information only and without warranty as to completeness or accuracy.

Boost subscriptions

Boost is billed monthly in INR through Dodo Payments and renews automatically until cancelled.
Boost is a digital service. It is activated when payment is confirmed (or on a start date you request) and is treated as delivered from that point.
Cancellation and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. In summary: full refunds only before activation or in duplicate-charge, unauthorised- payment, non-delivery or billed-after-cancellation cases; not refundable once active or for dissatisfaction with results.
Boost affects only visual prominence on the map and grid. It does not guarantee any level of traffic, enquiries, or business outcome.
Buying Boost in order to obtain short-term visibility and then reversing payment, or a pattern of buy-and-refund, is a breach of these terms and may lead to removal and a ban from paid plans.
Prices may change; we will give notice before a change affects your renewal.

Acceptable use

You agree not to scrape the site at scale, disrupt its operation, submit false listings, infringe others' rights, or use the service for unlawful purposes.

Intellectual property

The site design, compilation and branding are owned by StartupMap.in. Company names and logos shown in the directory belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, StartupMap.in is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid plan is limited to the amount you paid for that plan in the preceding month.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
